Watching Mega IPTV on an iPhone or iPad turns any room — or any train seat — into a TV lounge. The setup is the quickest of all our guides.
What you need
- An iPhone or iPad running a recent version of iOS or iPadOS
- An Apple ID signed in to the App Store
- Wi-Fi, or mobile data with a generous allowance
- Your Mega IPTV login details. If you have not ordered yet, see the plans or request a free trial
Step 1: Update iOS or iPadOS
- Open Settings → General → Software Update.
- If an update is available, tap Update Now.
- Make sure you have enough free storage — players need space to cache the channel list and guide.
Step 2: Install an IPTV player from the App Store
- Open the App Store and tap Search.
- Type “IPTV player”.
- Choose an app that supports Xtream Codes or M3U playlists, and check recent reviews and the update date.
- Tap Get and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your password.
Some players are free with ads, others offer an optional upgrade. Any purchase goes to the app developer and is not part of your Mega IPTV plan.
Step 3: Copy your login from your email
- Open the Mega IPTV welcome email on your iPhone or iPad.
- Press and hold the server URL and tap Copy.
- Keep the email open — you will come back for the username and password.
Copying avoids the most common setup error: a single mistyped character.
Step 4: Add your account in the player
- Open the player app.
- Tap Add playlist or the + button, then choose Xtream Codes (sometimes “Xtream API” or “Login”).
- Paste the server URL, then switch back to your email to copy the username and password.
- Give the playlist a name, such as “Mega IPTV”, and tap Save or Login.
If your player only accepts an M3U URL, choose that option and paste the playlist link from your email instead.
Step 5: Start watching
After a short loading screen, your channels, movies and series appear.
- Tap Live TV and choose a category.
- Open the EPG or Guide view to see what is on now and next.
- Rotate your phone for full screen, or use picture-in-picture to keep watching while you use other apps (if your player supports it).
That’s all — Mega IPTV is ready on your iPhone or iPad.

A few settings make a noticeable difference on Apple’s mobile devices:
- Use picture-in-picture. If your player supports it, swipe up to go home while a channel plays and the video keeps running in a small window. Handy for following a match while you reply to messages.
- Lock the screen orientation. Turn on rotation lock in Control Centre after you go full screen, so the picture does not flip when you lie down.
- Save mobile data. In the player’s settings, choose a lower default quality for mobile networks and keep Full HD and 4K for Wi-Fi.
- Turn on Guided Access for kids. In Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access, you can lock an iPad to the player app so younger viewers cannot wander off into other apps.
- Add your other screens. The same login works on your Apple TV, Smart TV or Firestick — install a player there too. If two people want to watch at the same time, choose a 2-device plan or larger.
On an iPad, try split view with the guide open on one side and the player on the other, if your player app supports multitasking.
Troubleshooting
Video buffers or freezes
- Close the player completely (swipe it away in the app switcher) and reopen it.
- Toggle Wi-Fi off and on, or switch to mobile data to compare.
- Turn off Low Data Mode in Settings → Wi-Fi → (your network) or Settings → Mobile Data → Mobile Data Options.
- Restart your router if several devices are struggling at once.
See more fixes in our guide to stopping IPTV buffering.
“Login failed”
- Paste the details again to rule out typos, and check there is no space at the end.
- Confirm the server URL starts with
http://orhttps://exactly as in your email. - If you renewed recently, use the details from your newest email.
The guide is missing
- In the player’s settings, tap Refresh EPG or Update guide.
- Check that Settings → General → Date & Time → Set Automatically is on.
- Give the guide a few minutes on the first launch.

Frequently asked questions
Is there an official Mega IPTV app on the App Store?
Mega IPTV works with third-party player apps rather than a single official app. Any reputable App Store player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U playlists will work with your login.
Can I AirPlay from my iPhone to my TV?
Many players support AirPlay to an Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV. For the smoothest experience on a TV, though, we recommend installing a player directly on the Apple TV.
How much data does streaming use on an iPhone?
Roughly 1.5 to 3 GB per hour in HD. Use Wi-Fi when you can, or lower the stream quality in the player if you are on a limited mobile plan.
Do I need a jailbreak?
No. Everything in this guide uses normal apps from the App Store. You never need to jailbreak or modify your iPhone or iPad.
