Watching Mega IPTV directly on your Smart TV means no extra box, no extra remote and no extra cables. You install one app from your TV’s own store and add your login once.
What you need
- A Samsung Smart TV (Tizen OS) or LG Smart TV (webOS) connected to the internet
- The TV remote — or the manufacturer’s remote app on your phone for faster typing
- An internet connection of about 25 Mbps for Full HD, ideally over an Ethernet cable
- Your Mega IPTV login details. If you do not have them yet, pick a Mega IPTV plan or ask for a free trial
Step 1: Check your TV’s software and connection
- Press Home and open Settings.
- On Samsung, go to Support → Software Update → Update Now. On LG, go to General → About This TV → Check for updates.
- Install any update and let the TV restart.
- While you are in settings, open Network and run the connection test to confirm the TV is online.
Step 2: Install an IPTV player from the TV app store
Both platforms have several IPTV player apps. Look for one that supports M3U playlists or Xtream Codes logins and has recent, positive reviews.
On Samsung (Tizen):
- Press Home and open Apps.
- Select the search icon and type “IPTV player”.
- Open a player from the results and choose Install.
On LG (webOS):
- Press Home and open the LG Content Store (sometimes just called Apps).
- Search for “IPTV player”.
- Choose an app and select Install.
App availability differs by country and TV model, so the exact list you see may vary.
Step 3: Open the app and note your device details
Launch the player you installed. You will see one of two things:
- A login screen with fields for server, username and password — go straight to Step 4A.
- A device screen showing a MAC address and a device key (or “device ID”) — go to Step 4B.
Take a photo of the device screen with your phone so you do not need to copy the details by hand.
Step 4A: Sign in with an Xtream Codes login
- Choose Xtream Codes or Login with API.
- Type the server URL, username and password from your Mega IPTV welcome email exactly as written.
- Select Connect or Login.
Step 4B: Add your playlist on the app’s website
Players that show a MAC address are activated from a phone or computer:
- On your phone or computer, open the website shown on the TV screen. This is the app developer’s site, not ours.
- Enter the MAC address and device key displayed by the app.
- Choose Add playlist and paste your M3U URL from your welcome email, or enter your Xtream Codes server, username and password if the site offers that option.
- Save, then go back to the TV and restart the app.
If you are not sure which details to paste, send support a photo of the TV screen and we will tell you exactly what to enter.
Step 5: Load channels and the TV guide
The first load downloads your channels, the on-demand library and the electronic programme guide (EPG). It may take a couple of minutes.
- Wait for the loading screen to finish.
- Open Live TV and choose a category.
- Press Guide or EPG to see what is on now and next.
- Mark channels as favourites so they appear at the top.
You are now set up and ready to enjoy Mega IPTV on the biggest screen in the house.
Troubleshooting
Playback stutters or buffers
- Restart the TV completely. On Samsung, hold the power button until the logo appears; on LG, unplug the TV for 60 seconds.
- Use an Ethernet cable, or move the router closer to the TV.
- Pause large downloads and video calls on other devices while you watch.
- In the player’s settings, try switching the decoder or player type (for example from hardware to software).

“Login failed” or “Playlist not found”
- Check the server URL, username and password for typos, extra spaces or a missing
http://. - For MAC-based apps, confirm that the MAC address you entered on the website matches the one on the TV screen.
- Restart the app after saving the playlist on the website.
The TV guide does not load
- In the app’s settings, choose Update EPG or Reload guide.
- Make sure the TV’s date, time and time zone are correct.
- Wait a few minutes after the first sign-in — the guide is a large file.

Frequently asked questions
Is my Smart TV compatible with Mega IPTV?
Most Samsung TVs from around 2018 onward and LG TVs running webOS 4 or newer can install a suitable IPTV player from their app store. If your TV is older or the store has no player, a Firestick or Android TV box is an inexpensive way to add one.
Why does my TV player app show a MAC address and a device key?
Many Smart TV players link your TV to an account on the app developer's website. You enter the MAC address and device key there, together with your Mega IPTV playlist, and the app picks it up automatically.
Do I have to pay for the TV player app?
Some players are free, while others charge a small one-time activation fee to their developer after a trial period. That fee goes to the app maker, not to us, and is separate from your Mega IPTV plan.
Can I use the TV's own internet browser instead?
We do not recommend it. Built-in TV browsers are slow and do not support the TV guide or remote navigation well. A dedicated player app gives a far better experience.
